Renewal Requirements

CAC renewal:
1 year renewal: 22 hrs Addiction Specific training including 2 hour of ethics
2 year renewal: 44 hrs Addiction Specific training including 4 hours of ethics
3 year renewal: 66 hrs Addiction Specific training including 6 hours of ethics
CCJP renewal:
1 year renewal: 24 hrs Addiction Specific training including 4 hour of ethics
2 year renewal: 48 hrs Addiction Specific training including 8 hours of ethics
3 year renewal: 72 hrs Addiction Specific training including 12 hours of ethics
CPS renewal:
1 year renewal: 20 hrs Prevention Specific training
2 year renewal: 40 hrs Prevention Specific training
3 year renewal: 60 hrs Prevention Specific training
CPRS renewal:
1 year renewal: 10 hrs Peer Recovery Specific training including 3 hour of ethics
2 year renewal: 20 hrs Peer Recovery Specific training including 6 hours of ethics
3 year renewal: 30 hrs Peer Recovery Specific training including 9 hours of ethics
SCPG renewal:
1 year renewal: 10 hrs Gambling Specific training
2 year renewal: 20 hrs Gambling Specific training
3 year renewal: 30 hrs Gambling Specific training
Please Note
At least half of the trainings must be CCB-approved. AddictionCounselorCE.com is an approved provider of CCB and all required hours may be earned with us.
Initial Requirements
CAC
300 hours are required, of which 225 may be earned with AddictionCounselorCE
12 hours must be earned in ethics and 6 in problem gambling.
