CE-Credit.com’s distant learning courses meet qualifications for continuing education credit for psychologists as required by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychology.
40 credit hours biannually at time of license renewal (end of birth month). At least half of these hours must be obtained from or endorsed by an approved provider. All credits in the licensing renewal period may be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses.
At least **6 of these hours must be in the area(s) of ethics, rules, or professional responsibility, with another **6 hours in the area of cultural diversity. These hours may be counted toward the total number of hours required.
Areas of cultural diversity include, but are not limited to, age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, language, national origin, race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, and social economic status.
All licensees are required to undergo an HHSC approved human trafficking prevention training course as a condition of renewal, in accordance with Chapter 116 of the Occupations Code. Approved training courses can be found on the Health Care Practitioner Human Trafficking Training webpage.
