According to the authors, research has shown that workplace-based clinician supervision has become a “nearly ubiquitous infrastructure support.” This is a quantitative study addressing the current status of amounts of time and topics of supervision of clinicians. Recommendations for improving the use of supervision for community-based clinicians are offered for readers of this study.

Shannon Dorsey, PhD
Shannon Dorsey, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychology, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Global Health and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington. Research has focused on adaptation for unique populations (e.g., foster care) and on training and supervision strategies to deliver TF-CBT and other EBT. Her work has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals.
Michael D. Pullmann, PhD
Dr. Pullmann is data director and research associate professor at the UW CLACRITY Center. Michael’s research has focused on community-based and participatory approaches in cross-system collaborative efforts to serve youth and families with complex needs. He has published more than 80 articles in peer reviewed journals.
Suzanne E. U. Kerns, PhD
Dr. Kerns is a Research Associate Professor and a licensed clinical psychologist. Her clinical and research interests focus on enhancing the well-being of children and families by ensuring access to treatment approaches proven to be effective, including examining the acquisition, implementation, adaptation and sustainability of evidence-based practices. She has been published in multiple peer reviewed journals.
Paul Pawlicki, PsyD, received his degree in clinical psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, IL, in 2005. From 2004-2006, he taught courses in general psychology, abnormal psychology, and human sexuality at Collin College in Plano, TX. He currently practices individual therapy at the Department of Sexual Medicine at Park Nicollet Health Health Services near Minneapolis, MN.
