Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adults With Mental Illness: A Review of Clinical Effectiveness and Guidelines

About the Course:

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is an effective treatment for patients with Bipolar Personality Disorder (BPD) and chronic suicidal behavior. New evidence suggests that DBT skills training reduces problems with emotions and can also be used to treat other mental disorders. This review summarizes evidence regarding the clinical effectiveness for the use of DBT in the treatment of adult patients with mental illness.

This course is based on the article, Dialectical Behavior Therapy for Adults with Mental Illness: A Review of Clinical Effectiveness and Guidelines created by Kwakye Peprah, PhD, MBA, B.Pharm et al. in 2017.
