This course offers brief and practical information that is useful in planning and delivering youth substance abuse prevention programs. Prevention strategies, ensuring a solid foundation for strategies, and ways to disseminate information about prevention programs are among the topics presented. The course information also includes guidelines on working with the media and resources for additional information on youth substance abuse prevention.
This course is based on the reading-based online, Focus on Prevention: Strategies and Programs to Prevent Substance Use created by HHS Publication in 2017.
