About the Course:
Introduction for 2012 National Strategy for Suicide Prevention: Goals and Objectives for Action: A Report of the Surgeon General explains how suicide is a serious public health problem that causes immeasurable pain, suffering, and loss to individuals, families, communities nationwide. Many people may be surprised to learn that suicide was one of the top 10 causes of death. A comprehensive approach to suicide prevention, understanding suicide, risk and protective factors, the prevalence of suicidal behaviors will all be addressed in this course.
