About the Course:
This one hour webinar, “Victims of Hate Crimes: Unique Needs,” discusses the common reactions survivors, and other members of their minority group, experience after a hate crime. We will take a look at the unique impacts of and reactions to hate crimes, and how they differ from other types of crime. Several ways in which survivors and others can help those who have experienced a hate crime, are discussed in detail, including the use of a Trauma Informed Approach and Stress First Aid.
This course is based on the recorded webinar, Victims of Hate Crimes: Unique Needs created by Dennis Potter, LMSW, CAADC, CCS, FAAETS in 2015.
