This course is recommended for health care professionals, especially psychologists, counselors, and social workers who seek knowledge about ethical challenges in administration, supervision, and policy. It is appropriate for all levels of participants’ knowledge.

Course Objectives:

  1. Present ethical dilemmas in administration and discuss need for ethics risk management in administration.

  2. Outline process of challenging unethical agency policies and describe inherent challenges in the process.

  3. Discuss the need for social workers to be involved in social advocacy as outlined in the Code of Ethics.

  4. Describe appropriate boundaries in supervisor-supervisee relationship and ways to avoid conflict with the Code of Ethics.
