About the Course:

The information in this course is designed to provide ideas on ways to improve and revitalize special education for children and their families. It is a synthesis of the thoughts, suggestions, and wisdom of more than 100 recognized special education experts, including parents, medical researchers, individuals with disabilities, teachers, and others possessing special education expertise. Issues addressed include assessment, accountability, parental empowerment, teacher preparation, paperwork reduction, increased flexibility of regulations, and special education research.
