Initial Certification: Unlimited number of hours of distance learning allowed for initial certification.
PADC REQUIREMENTS 180 total hours of relevant education/training to the field of substance use disorders.
6 of the hours must be in substance use disorders ethics.
6 of the hours must be in confidentiality. (must include 42 CFR and its relationship to HIPAA and other confidentiality laws.)
6 of the hours must be in communicable diseases.
6 of the hours must be in medication assisted treatment.
CADC REQUIREMENTS: 300 total hours of relevant education/training to the field of substance use disorders.
120 of the hours must be specific to substance use disorders.
6 of the hours must be in substance use disorders ethics.
6 of the hours must be in confidentiality. (must include 42 CFR and its relationship to HIPAA and other confidentiality laws.)
