Renewal -
CPSS certification expires on September 1, of odd numbered years.
To re-certify, CPSS certificate holders will be required to attest to the completion of 20 continuing education hours within the following 13 Peer Support Core Curriculum domains:

- Personalizes Peer Support
- Recovery Planning
- Resources, Services & Supports
- Health, Wellness & Recovery Skills
- Crisis Management
- Communication
- Collaboration & Teamwork
- Leadership & Advocacy
- Professional Growth & Development
- Ethics (6 hr minimum)

NOTE: If an applicant was certified within 12 months of the expiration date of September 1 in odd-numbered years, the continuing education hours, inclusive of six CEs in Ethics, will be waived until the following renewal period. The CPSS certificate holder will still need to complete the online re-certification application prior to the expiration of the certification on September 1 in odd-numbered years.
