CE-Credit.com’s distant learning courses are available for continuing education credit for Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists, as set forth by the New Mexico Counseling & Therapy Practice Board.
6 of the 40 hours must be in ethics, and if the licensee supervises anyone then they also are required to have 3 hours of supervision.
A therapist can earn 12 hours of online credits (reading material online and answering questions over the Internet AND then take another 12 hours reading a homestudy course/book at home. However, based upon an email response from the counseling board, a therapist cannot take 24 hours of ONLY online reading or ONLY homestudy course/book at home.
