About the Course:

This important work looks at critical ethical and moral issues in mental health practice. The first section, Practice Issues, explores moral and ethical dilemmas in managed care, including the impact of third-party oversight on clinical practice, confidentiality problems, limitations on length of care, and conflicts of interest for managed care reviewers, as well as ethical questions involved in outcome evaluations, behavioral medicine, and addiction screening. The second section, Business and Legal Issues, provides the most up-to-date information available for practitioners dealing with third-party reimbursement, complex legal contracts, organized delivery systems, capitation, liability concerns, and risk management.
