The Relationship Between Family Violence and Self-Control in Adolescence-A Multi-Level Meta-Analysis

About the Course:

This course examines the link between family violence and adolescent self-control, and how in impacts adolescence. It is a meta-analysis totaling of 20,000 participants. Theoretical moderators of age, country and adolescent gender were used. Family violence had less of an impact on self-control over time, as adolescents became more reliant on people outside of the family. This is a moderately research intensive course.

This course is based on the article, The Relationship between Family Violence and Self-Control in Adolescence-A Multi-Level Meta-Analysis created by Yayouk E. Willems, et al. in 2018.
