About the Course:
Join us for NAGC’s second Art with Heart webinar, which will be an in-depth look at two effective therapeutic activities focusing on grief support for elementary-aged children. We will cover everything you need to run two creative expression lessons from beginning to end. We will consider therapeutic goals, decide on materials, discuss potential priming activities, teach new art methods, and finally cover how to approach sharing and discussing the children’s artwork, giving you concrete examples throughout the webinar.
The first art lesson will be a basic art project, and the second will build upon the first, giving you ideas for how to add depth to a single project over more than one week, integrating unique therapeutic goals for each session.
This course is based on the , Art in Action: Two Creative Expression Activities for Your Grief Group created by Helena Hilinga Haas, MA in 2016.
