About the Course:
Holistic counseling by definition includes the spiritual realm of clients. Holistic Counseling Seminar 6 discusses the differing models of spirituality within the holistic field while respecting the client’s religious beliefs. How the holistic counselor identifies his/her own spiritual core and connects with that of the client is explored. Composing a personal statement of purpose as a holistic counselor is undertaken, and issues involving the establishment of a practice including: institutional vs. private practice, who you represent as a counselor, accountability, reimbursement, and work setting are discussed.

About the Author:
Jim has held licensure as a clinical psychologist since 1973. He is a clinical supervisor, seminar leader and has pioneered in the integration of psychotherapy with such mind/body techniques as breathwork and bio-spiritual energetics. He founded the School of Integrative Psychology in 1980 and the Transformations Breathworker Training Program in 1990 and has authored four books in the field of spiritual psychology. He is co-director of the International Breathwork Training Alliance and founder of InWellness.
This course is recommended for health care professionals, especially psychologists, counselors, and social workers, who seek knowledge about the theory and practice of holistic counseling. It is appropriate for an introductory level of participants’ knowledge.
