This course is based on Selected Topics in Work with Dissociative Identity Disorder
This 90-minute webinar will suggest that certain prognostic variables are associated with good, bad, and intermediate outcomes, and indicate how to improve at least some of the problematic variables in the early stages of treatment. Approaches to the beginning stages of treatment and the process of integration will be studied in depth.
Therapies, like children, generally turn out best if they can get off to a good start. Further, the final stages of therapy often are isomorphic with the treatment’s beginnings. A smooth beginning foreshadows a smooth process of integration. A shaky start may betoken a somewhat compromised outcome. In this webinar we will review the long term follow-up of DID patients who did well, and those who did not.
