About the Course:

Course consist of four brief, practitioner-oriented articles in the Clinical Quarterly of the National Center for PTSD. Focuses on treatment of individuals who have suffered interpersonal trauma. Also explores effective management of the interpersonal process that can occur in working with clients suffering from PTSD.

This course is recommended for social workers, counselors, psychologists, and other human services and behavioral health professionals who seek knowledge about interpersonal trauma. It is appropriate for participants with intermediate to advanced levels of knowledge about the topic.

  2. recognize potential areas for countertransference isssues with PTSD clients and consider ways to manage it.

  3. understand the risks related to intimate partner violence and be able to incorporate that knowledge into clinical work.
