About the Course:

This course describes the way that self psychology impacts the practice of psychoanalytic psychotherapy. Following a description of basic principles of self psychology such as empathy, self object transference and transmuting internalizations, numerous case examples are provided. These examples, depict the way that clinicians can apply empathic attunement to their work with all patients.
