This book guides readers through the EMDR protocol as it applies to children and adolescents. The author models the essential elements of skillful communication and demonstrates through engaging case examples and

About the Author:

Dr. Greenwald is a pioneer and leading authority on EMDR treatment and training. Dr. Greenwald is the Director of the Child Trauma Institute and was previously Assistant Clinical Professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He is the author of several books, including EMDR in Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy (Jason Aronson, 1999), Trauma and Juvenile Delinquency (editor, Haworth, 2002), and Child Trauma Handbook (Haworth, in press).

  1. to explain how past trauma and loss can contribute to kids’ presenting problems

  2. to describe the essential components of a trauma-informed treatment approach

  3. to describe the procedures involved in EMDR, and how these may vary in child/adolescent treatment
