Licensees are not required to start working on CE requirements until AFTER they renew their license/certificate for the first time.
Activities must be completed during the 2-year license/certification period
that immediately precedes the renewal of a license/certificate.
Documentation of completed activities must be retained for at least five (5) years.
Continuing education activities must be relevant to the licensee’s practice as a physical therapist and pertinent to the licensee’s Learning Plan. The Board will not pre-approve specific courses or providers. The licensee shall determine which activities and topics will meet their Learning Plan, and select an appropriate provider.

Physical Therapists must accrue at least 30 CE hours during each 2-year license period. A maximum of 10 CE hours will be accepted from the CE category of Independent Study (this is what we offer on our site). A minimum of 20 of the 30 required CE hours must be completed in one or more of the following CE categories:
- Educational Coursework
- Fellowships
- Residencies
