20 CE credits must be completed during every 2-year renewal period, approved by the board as follows:
- One-half of the required continuing education contact hours shall be completed using live, synchronous and interactive courses and programs.
- No more than 10 credit hours may be earned during a 24-hour period for online or electronic media, such as videos, internet web-based seminars, video conferences, on-line continuing education programs, and online journal articles that are asynchronous and not interactive.
Pain and Symptom Management: A minimum of 1 hour of the required continuing education must be earned in the area of pain and symptom management.
Implicit Bias Training: Licensees seeking renewal must have completed a minimum of 1 hour of implicit bias training for each year of the applicant’s license cycle.
Human Trafficking: Licensees seeking renewal must have completed training in identifying victims of human trafficking that meets the standards in Administrative Rule 338.1215 prior to renewing their license. The training must only be completed one time.
