24 CE credits must be completed during every 2-year renewal period, approved by the board as follows:
- No more than 12 CE credits can be earned during one 24-hour period.
- A licensee shall not earn CE credit for a continuing education program or activity that is identical or substantially identical to a program or activity for which the licensee has already earned credit during the renewal period.
Pain and Symptom Management: A minimum of 1 CE credit must be earned in the area of pain and symptom management.
Implicit Bias Training: Beginning in 2022, and all renewals thereafter, licensees seeking renewal must have completed a minimum of 1 CE credit of implicit bias training for each year of the applicant’s license cycle.
Human Trafficking Training: Licensees seeking renewal must certify on their renewal application that prior to renewing their license they have completed a one-time training in identifying victims of human trafficking that meets the standards in Administrative Rule 338.7126.
