40 credit hours by December 31 of even years
40 CE credits in the licensing renewal period may be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses. A minimum of the 20 must be specifically provided by a trained social worker. Those 20 hours can also be distant learning (online/homestudy) courses, if course development involves social workers and/or approved by a major social work accrediting organization.
