About the Authors:
Herbert P. Ginsburg holds the Jacob H. Schiff Chair at Teachers College, Columbia University, where he is Professor of Psychology and Education. After receiving his degree in Developmental Psychology, he has conducted research for the past 35 years on cognitive development, particularly the development of children’s mathematical thinking, both within the U. S. and in various cultures around the world.
