Adolescents struggle with the maturity and developmental wisdom necessary to battle eating disorders with vigor and to approach treatment in collaborative engagement with the clinician. Two ways to approach this difficulty is with experiential interventions, helping move patients towards recovery by circumventing resistance, and spiritual interventions, bringing the adolescent back to deeper beliefs, desires, and motives to engage the hard work of treatment. Participants will learn how to better understand the importance of experiential intervention, spiritual intervention, and a blending of these for the client’s benefit. This workshop will be didactic, practical, and experiential. Active participation will be invited.
