10038: Asperger's Syndrome: Emotional and Social Implications

About the Course:

This course is recommended for health care professionals, especially psychologists, counselors, social workers, and nurses who provide services to or seek knowledge about the social, emotional, and family impact of Asperger’s Syndrome. Whether unfamiliar or familiar with some of the concepts involved in this material, you can benefit from information in this course. This course is for professionals who work with or who may come into contact with people who have Asperger’s Syndrome. This mini-course covers the social implications of Asperger’s Syndrome, as well as the emotional difficulties that frequently occur with this diagnosis. The impact on family life is addressed, along with suggestions for working with those with Asperger’s.

4. To describe the communication difficulty people with Asperger’s experience

5. To describe the difficulty people with Asperger’s have in Social Interaction
