The purpose of the event was to bring consumers and psychiatric-mental health nurses together in order to gain greater understanding of each other’s issues and to collaborate on ideas and plans for improving mental health services delivery.

Collaboration is one of the Center’s activities, and the Departments of Education, Housing and Urban Development, Justice, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency are among its partners.

  2. To examine ways to improve communication and understanding between consumers and PMHN’s

  3. To learn of specific recommendations generated by conference participants
